Caleb McKenna Rhodes Scholar and CEI:AgER Student

CEI:AgER proudly celebrates Caleb McKenna, a 2022 honours student of the Centre, for being announced the 2024 Rhodes Scholar for Western Australia.

Caleb will be commencing a DPhil programme at Oxford University in October 2024. He has a passion for technology development and innovation, reflected throughout his studies to date and his DPhil pursuits which will focus on the development of innovative energy systems.

For his Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) undergraduate degree, Caleb completed his honours project under CEI:AgER Director A/Professor Andrew Guzzomi, working on the targeted tillage project for in-crop mechanical weed control and helping co-invent a novel weeding mechanism.

CEI:AgER thanks Caleb for his contributions to the Centre and, while the CEI:AgER may have narrowly missed out on a promising new PhD candidate, we are confident he will make a great contribution to the energy transition and broader society.
