CEI:AgER Director wins UWA School of Engineering Research Award

September 2023 saw another award added to the mix. This time, it was the Director himself, with Associate Professor Andrew Guzzomi awarded the Mid-Career Research Award from the UWA School of Engineering.

A strong innovation theme was recognised, from a solid track record built around the Seed Flamer, Weed Chipper and several more inventions in the pipeline, as well as the recent founding of the Centre. It was not just the inventions that drew recognition, but the efforts throughout the Centre including commercialisation of IP, industry consultancy, and traditional research output. The combined activity across diverse sectors has resulted in significant and sustained funding and a CEI:AgER team and Centre that continues to grow.
