Agricultural Technology Microcredential

WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?

The Agricultural sector is changing radically, with technology affecting every aspect: producers, logistics, manufacturing, marketing, and export. The Australian Government has recognised this skills shortage in AgTech and Agricultural Engineering. Australia needs to build domestic capability in Agricultural Engineering and AgTech.

WHAT’S OUR SOLUTION?

Meeting this objective requires a sustainable talent pool with the capability, awareness, and preparedness to adopt and leverage advancing technology.

The Agricultural Technology micro-credential is designed to address the skills shortage across Australian agriculture by preparing a workforce capable of understanding, developing, adopting, and leveraging emerging agricultural technologies.

This 12-point course introduces fundamental concepts in agricultural technology and provides hands-on experience with hardware and software applications and systems integration, enhancing technical skills relevant to the sector. The objective is to equip learners with a strong foundation in agricultural technology and exposure to agricultural engineering more broadly, empowering them to pursue and advance careers in the field.
